Teliamura Nov 05: Chief Whip of Tripura legislative assembly, Kalyani Roy along with other visited the site enmarked for building up a PPP-model nursing college in Teliamura.
Plans have been taken to build up a PPP (Public-Private-Partnership) model nursing college in Teliamura from the next academic year.
Notably, the PPP Model Nursing College at Teliamura will be built at the site of old hospital building under Health Department.
Although the construction work will take about three years to be completed but the government has decided to start the teaching and learning process from the next academic year itself.
In view of this, Teliamura MLA Kalyani Roy along with concerned officials visited Gamaibari area in Teliamura.
According to sources, the Chief Minister of the state, Dr. Manik Saha, is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of the new building in next few days.
So that the nursing college can be started in the new academic year, Chief Whip of State Legislative Assembly Kalyani Roy, Teliamura Municipal Council Chairman Rupak Sarkar, Tripura Nursing College Principal Dr. Alekhya Dasgupta, Dr Gourab Dasgupta, along with officials of the Public Works visited the construction site.
Talking to the reporters Kalyani Roy, said that the nursing college is going to be started temporarily in a government place in Gamaibari from the next academic year as the construction work will take at least three years.
She added, if the nursing college is opened in Teliamura, it will benefit the students of Khowai district as well as Dhalai and Gomati districts.
