Agartala, July 02:  Tripura’s TET qualified unemployed youths on Saturday gheraoed Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s residence, seeking his final statement regarding recruitment. Alleging bitter experience from past where the minister took complete U- turn from his statements repeatedly and failed to keep his promises like 14, 000 teachers’ recruitment after qualifying TET, the agitating youths said, “We have no other way then to gherao Education Minister’s residence as at least 3631 TET qualified youths are sitting jobless at homes. We are reeling through severe unemployment crisis, and many of us are going to cross the age of recruitment”.

The agitating youths further alleged, despite of acute shortage of teachers in various government schools across the state, they are not recruited into service by the government.

The youths also added of not being able to meet the new CM even after repeated requests.
