Agartala Nov 02: A five-member delegation owing allegiance to the Tipra Indigenous Students’ Federation (TISF) on Saturday met in a deputation with the Governor of Tripura raising several demands in interest of the indigenous students across the state.

Briefing the demands raised, one of the members of the delegation said, “Our demands include, establishment of Libraries in all the schools, compulsory traditional dress code (Rignai) for every school, college and educational institution, development of school infrastructure including drinking water connection, toilets, proper classrooms, among others”.

The TISF leaders hoped that the demands raised will be addressed promptly by giving utmost importance to the development of indigenous students across the state.
