Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha along with Minister for Cultural Affairs Sushanta Chowdhury on Monday held a meeting on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister passed an instruction to all concerned departments for work with sincerity to make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign of PrimeMinister Narendra Modi successful all over the state.
He also held threadbare discussions on the achievements of the first year and planning for the second year under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Taking part in the meeting, Director of ICA Ratan Biswas said, various initiatives were taken for Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to be observed from August 13 to 15 next.
A target has been set to distribute 5.37 lakhs Tricolors among the districts. Besides, awareness drives are being carried out, he said.
The ICA director briefed about the achievements of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in the first year. He said, a 29-member state-level Apex Committee has been formed with the Chief Minister as chairman to make the programme successful.
The director said, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated based on five themes. A target was set to organize 412 events from September last year to August this year. As of now, total 35,013 programmes in 372 events were organized.
He also said, Tripura is holding the seventh position in the country in terms of uploading the photographs of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration in the online portal. The ICA director also apprised the Chief Minister of work plans for the second year.
Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and Directors of various departments were present in the meeting held at the Civil Secretariat.
