Tripura CM inspects on-going projects under Agartala Smart City Mission

Agartala, Feb 13: Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday took stock of the progress of various works being implemented under the Agartala Smart City Mission.
He also inaugurated Horticulture/Floriculture and in-situ Nallah Treatment pilot projects followed by the inspection.
The Chief Minister said, renovation and restoration of Ujjayanta Palace garden with the support from Asian Development Bank would soon get its final shape.
He also said, the front side of iconic Ujjayanta Palace, Agartala would pick up a new look with the restoration project being implemented by the Agartala Smart City Mission.
"This ADB-funded project aims at heritage conservation & restoration of the front gardens & development of public place magnet in order to enhance the heritage landscape and associated values," he wrote on X.
Addressing the inaugural programme, the Chief Minister said, “The state government is committed to public welfare under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The people of the state should be aware that there is no hindrance to development work."
Dr. Saha further emphasized that the state government's goal is to present a beautiful and secure Agartala to future generations.
The state government is implementing various projects to enhance tourists' attraction, the Chief Minister said.
Dr. Saha also mentioned that the Howrah Riverfront Development Project aims to create environment-friendly public spaces for tourism purpose and prevent erosion of the Howrah River.
During the inspection and inauguration of pilot projects, the Chief Minister was accompanied by Mayor Dipak Majumder, Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav and other officials.
