Tripura cyclist promotes drug-free society on Paris journey

Teliamura, Feb 16: Mount Everest Base Camp conqueror Bappi Debnath, the first Bengali cyclist to achieve this feat, reached Teliamura on Sunday as part of his international cycling journey to Paris promoting a drug-free India, mental health education in primary schools, and global peace.
Debnath, who began his expedition from Netaji Chowmuhani in Sabroom, has been traveling through various parts of the state. In Teliamura, he engaged with the local youth, urging them to contribute to building a drug-free society. Debnath’s message emphasized the dangers of addiction and the importance of mental well-being from an early age.
After his stop in Teliamura, Debnath resumed his journey towards Agartala, continuing his mission to raise awareness before heading to Paris.
