Tripura Govt working to enhance healthcare: Sushanta

Agartala, Nov 08: The present state government is striving to improve healthcare services, aiming to provide quality medical care to the people, Minister for Transport Sushanta Chowdhury said on Friday.
He said, the government has been introducing new facilities so that the people get treatment within the state.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, who is also a doctor, already brought a robust change in the health services while efforts are on to strengthen the health facilities at district, sub-division and other levels, Chowdhury said.
According to Chowdhury, the government will not compromise on healthcare. He reaffirmed this commitment after inaugurating Radhika Healthcare, a private pathological laboratory, at Ranir Bazar.
Chowdhury emphasized the government's focus on developing healthcare infrastructure and services. He said, the new private facility will largely benefit the people of this region.
He also said, Jirania community health centre is being developed to sub-divisional hospital at an expenditure of Rs. 30 crore. The project will get its final shape in two years.
Besides, there is a proposal to upgrade the local primary health centre to CHC.
Maharaj of Ramakrishna Math and Mission, and other dignitaries were present.
