Tripura Jan Adhikar Sangram Parishad holds 3-hrs Sit-in Protest; Puts forth 22-point demands

Agartala Feb 20: Voicing for 22-point demands aimed at establishment of democratic rights for all workers, including marginalized communities such as SC, ST, OBC, and minorities, the Tripura Jan Adhikar Sangram Parishad organized a three hours sit-in protest on Thursday at capital city’s Pradise Chowmani area.
Briefing few demands one of the leaders of the organization said, “Our protest aims to draw attention to numerous issues affecting these communities and to seek prompt and effective solutions”.
“We demand the state government and its authorities to take immediate action against Action Against Racist and Communal Miscreants, Protection of Religious Minorities, Proper Implementation of the Forest Rights Act 2006, Multi-Level Self-Government System for Tribals, Land Settlement for Landless Jharkhandis and Tea Workers, Regularization of Sanitation Workers and Contractual employees, among others”, he added.
The organization hopes that the state government and concerned authorities will nod to their demands and fulfil them at the earliest.
