Agartala/ Ambassa, Nov 06: In a gruesome incident, a minor boy, reportedly drug addict killed four persons including three members of his family in Dhalai district of Tripura on Saturday night, police confirmed.

The incident has been reported from Durai Shivbari area under Kamalpur police station. The four deceased are- Badal Debnath (70, grandfather), Samita Debnath (32, mother), Suparna Debnath (10, sister) and Rekha Deb (42, relative). They all were hacked to death, police said.

The accused has been arrested within few hours of the incident. According to police, the bodies were buried in a pit near the courtyard of the house. The accused had fled away after commissioning the crime.

“During investigation of the case using scientific and technical aid police detained the accused person within few hours of the incident for further legal action. Investigation is in progress to unearth the motive of the crime,” police said.

Superintendent of Police, Dhalai Ramesh Chandra Yadav visited the place of occurrence on Sunday morning. Kamalpur police picked up the minor accused from Halahali petrol pump area. According to local sources, the minor boy was badly addicted to drugs.
