Agartala Jan 31: In a significant recognition of his dedication and impact, Tripura's youth social activist Sujit Ghosh has been selected for the prestigious Bharat Gaurav National Award by Bharat Vikas Sangam. The award ceremony will take place on February 5, 2020, at the 7th Bharatiya Sanskriti Utsav in Kalaburagi, Karnataka.
The Bharatiya Sanskriti Utsav is much more than a festival; it is a noble endeavour aimed at promoting nature-centric development and sustainable progress.
Throughout the event, various development topics will be discussed, including: Youth development, Rural and agricultural issues, Nutrition and health, Self-employment and entrepreneurship creation, Environmental protection, Service mobilization, among others.
Panel discussions and exhibitions by development and cultural organizations from across the country will provide a platform for sharing ideas and showcasing innovative solutions.
Besides, the event will honour individuals who have made significant contributions to social development at various levels.
Among the honourees, Sujit Ghosh from Tripura will receive the Bharat Gaurav National Award for his outstanding work in the social development sector.
Originally from South Tripura, Sujit Ghosh has been a tireless advocate for social development for the past 15 years. His work spans various fields, including health promotion, child welfare, and livelihood development.
He has also represented Tripura at national and international forums, showcasing the state's initiatives and challenges on a broader stage.
During the devastating floods last year, Sujit and the Voluntary Health Association of Tripura, worked tirelessly alongside affected communities to provide relief and support. His efforts have brought renewed hope and inspiration to those involved in social work in the state.
Sujit will depart for Kalaburagi city in Karnataka on February 4th to attend the award ceremony.
