VHAT organizes ‘Tobacco Free Youth Campaign’

Kalyanpur Oct 02: Aiming to combat the rising issue of drug abuse in the society, especially among the youths, the state government has launched Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0.
As a part of this campaign, Wednesday, the Voluntary Health Association of Tripura (VHAT), organized a rally and an awareness workshop at Kalyanpur Bazaar and the auditorium of Kalyanpur HS School.
The event saw participation from key figures including Kalyanpur Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Soumen Gope, School Principal Mohanlal Ghosh, and representatives from the Voluntary Health Association of Tripura, such as Jyotirmoy Majumder and Mridul Pal.
During the workshop, speakers emphasized the importance of staying away from addiction for the well-being of individuals and society.
They urged students to spread awareness about the dangers of drug use.
Effective talks were delivered by Jyotirmoy Majumder, Soumen Gope, and Mohanlal Ghosh, highlighting the need for a collective effort to create an anti-drug mentality.
Aimed to foster a strong anti-drug sentiment and encourage the youth to lead a drug-free life, an awareness rally was also held in the Kalyanpur Bazaar area on this day.
