Agartala, Nov 21: An unidentified woman, estimated to be around 22 years old, was tragically killed after being run over by a train at Nanuya Dighi area in  Khilpara  under Udaipur subdivision.

According to a GRP official, the incident took place on Thursday morning when the Sabroom-Sealdah-Kanchanjunga Express was on its way to Agartala from Udaipur. 

Immediately after the incident, officials from the Udaipur Railway Police rushed to the spot.

Later, the deceased’s body was taken to Gomati District Hospital for post-mortem. 

As of the time of writing, the identity of the woman remains unknown. 

However, police suspect that she might have been employed at a nearby brick kiln.
