Sonamura, Nov 08: A minor schoolgirl, who was allegedly abducted by a minor boy almost one month ago, reunited with her family on Friday.
The schoolgirl of Khedabari village in Sonamura was ‘abducted’ from her home on October 8 last.
Two days after the incident, an FIR was lodged at Sonamura police station by the victim’s family against three persons. After preliminary investigation, police suspected that the minor girl might have been taken to Chennai by one of the three FIR named accused.
The victim’s family moved here and there to get back the missing daughter. It was on November 6 last, the victim girl’s father attended ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ and informed the Chief Minister about the whole incident though police were already on alert to rescue the missing schoolgirl.
In the meantime, police on Thursday night safely rescued the minor girl and presented her before the court on Friday. Based on the court’s observation, the minor girl was handed over to her parents bringing a major relief to them.
While the local people are suspecting that the minor girl along with the boy has returned from Chennai on their own in the face of pressure from various sides, some others are smelling a rat since the actual case history rests with the police.
