“Rashtriya ekta Diwas is a tribute to the great role of Sardar Patel in unifying India”: Tripura CM

Agartala Oct 31: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha presided over the state level celebration of “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” at Swami Vivekananda Stadium on Monday.
The program organized under the initiative of Youth Affairs and Sports Department started with a pledge taking ceremony where everyone vowed to reaffirm the inherent strength and resilience of the nation towards upholding the unity, integrity, and security of the country.
Later, the Chief Minister flagged off the Unity Run in presence of the members of the state cabinet, parliamentarians, mayor of Municipal Corporation, chief secretaries, director generals of police, officers of the administration, students of various schools and others.
Addressing the program Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha hailed the great leader of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as “Iron Man of India”.
He said, “On the occasion of the auspicious birthday of the great patriot, Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who sacrificed every moment of his life to build 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat', we along with the entire nation pay our respects by participating in the Run for Unity”.
Dr Saha further lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visionary thinking mentioning that the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was introduced by PM Modi in the year 2014 to pay tribute to the great leader for his extraordinary work in keeping the country united.
The Chief Minister further highlighted the various developmental projects that has benefitted the last man of the society in these 4.5 years of BJP governance.
