“Will talk with CM & Finance dept”: Ratan

Agartala July 02: “TET passers will be recruited step by step”, said Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath in an interview on Saturday.
Tripura’s TET qualified unemployed youths on Saturday gheraoed Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s residence, seeking his final statement regarding recruitment. Alleging bitter experience from past where the minister took complete U- turn from his statements repeatedly and failed to keep his promises like 14, 000 teachers’ recruitment after qualifying TET.
When asked about this, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath admitted that there is a shortage of teachers in the state. However, simultaneous recruitment is not available anywhere in India, said the Education Minister. He said efforts are being made to recruit as many as possible before the puja. Moreover, approval has also been received to recruit 600 teachers.
The minister said he will meet the chief minister and inform him about the whole matter and will see how to get approval from the finance department. "We do not believe in movement, we believe in government talks," he said.
