National Diary Development Board Chairman Dr Meenesh C.Shah to visit Tripura on June 20

Preparations are underway in Tripura ahead of the upcoming visit of Dr. Meenesh C. Shah, Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), who is scheduled to arrive in the state on June 20, 2026.

In view of this important visit, a high-level meeting was held to ensure the programme is both successful and productive. The meeting brought together Ratan Ghosh, Chairman of the Gomati Co-operative Milk Producer’s Union Limited (GCMPUL), along with all board directors of the union and Neeraj Kumar Chanchal, Director of the Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD).

Discussions focused on strengthening Tripura’s dairy sector, enhancing cooperative initiatives, and aligning local strategies with NDDB’s national vision for sustainable dairy development. 

Officials emphasized that Dr. Shah’s visit will provide an opportunity to highlight the state’s progress in milk production and cooperative management, while also addressing challenges faced by farmers and producers.

The meeting underscored the importance of coordinated efforts between NDDB, state departments, and cooperative unions to boost productivity, improve infrastructure, and expand market access for dairy products from Tripura.
