Agartala Jan 04: Three years of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)- run Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), have been a period of robust development, transforming the city in all forms with innovation, said Mayor Dipak Majumder.
The BJP-run AMC formed in 2021, recently celebrated its three-year completion. To commemorate this, various programs have been taken up in all the wards.
On Saturday, a winter garments donation program was organized in Ward No.4 of AMC under the initiative of Corporator Suparna Debnath.
AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, former MLA of Barjala constituency Dr Dilip Das among others remained present at the event.
Addressing the program, the Mayor highlighted the developmental works carried out in each ward over the past three years.
He mentioned the construction of drinking water systems, roads, and drains, and emphasized ongoing efforts to reorganize the city.
However, he acknowledged that more work remains to be done and assured that plans are in place to complete these projects in the coming days.
Majumder also urged the public to judge the Municipal Corporation's performance based on their own perceptions, comparing the current BJP-ruled Corporation's achievements with the lack of progress during the Left Front's 25-year tenure.
In addition to the event in Ward No. 4, a cloth distribution program was also held in Ward No. 6 of AMC, in presence of Mayor Dipak Majumdar.
“These programs are part of the broader efforts to mark the three-year anniversary of the Municipal Corporation and showcase the progress made under BJP's leadership”, said Mayor.
