Kailashahar, Feb 06: A total of four Ayushman Arogya Mandir sub-health centers in Unakoti district including Jalai, Paschim Mashauli, Dakshin Dhanichhara, and Rangauti have received the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification for the first time.

The certification follows a December 2024 assessment by an external team from the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC).

District Health and Family Welfare Officer and NQAS Nodal Officer Dr. Shankha Subhra Debnath confirmed the achievement on Thursday. Debnath stated that these centers met all quality benchmarks, scoring over 70% in the final evaluation.

Dr. Debnath credited the efforts of healthcare staff, including CHOs, MPWs, and ANMs, for the latest recognition.

He added that the district aims to secure NQAS certification for more health centers to enhance service quality.
