Charilam, Nov 22: Two days after the clash between two groups, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad on Friday formed its committee at Rabindranath Thakur Mahavidyalaya, Bishalgar.

The ABVP unit was formed after two years in presence of security personnel.

Subhrajit Modak has been assigned as president and Mousumi Saha has been given the responsibility as secretary in the committee. Later, the new unit along with the students joined hands in celebration in the college premises.

Meanwhile, a group of ABVP gheraoed the Bishalgarh police station on Friday, demanding immediate arrest of the culprits involved in attacking two leaders of the student body during the clash on Wednesday.

Two days have passed since the attack incident but police didn’t take any action, an ABVP member said.

After the protest programme, a delegation of ABVP met in deputation with the Officer-in-Charge, demanding arrest of the culprits.

A section of the students said the clash commenced following a difference of opinion regarding invitation for two figures in the college's freshers' programme.
