Dharmanagar, Nov 22: The Congress party has leveled serious allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of prioritizing the interests of billionaire Gautam Adani over the welfare of the nation.
Speaking at a press conference held at the District Congress Office in Dharmanagar as part of the ‘Solidarity Yatra,’ senior Congress leaders claimed that the Modi government is weakening India's economic foundation by favoring a select group of wealthy individuals.
Citing recent developments, including legal action against Adani in a US court, Congress leaders alleged that the Prime Minister continues to maintain close ties with the industrialist despite the controversy. They accused Modi of neglecting the poor and diverting public attention with superficial measures like promoting yoga and meditation.
“By aligning with Adani, whose actions threaten the country’s economic stability, the Modi government is betraying the trust of the common people,” said Congress leaders, including AICC Secretary Christopher Tilak.
The other leaders including Tripura Pradesh Congress president Ashish Saha and North District president Ajit Das also leveled similar allegations against the Prime Minister and BJP government.
The Congress party emphasized that the nation’s economic foundation cannot be secured by relying on a few billionaires. They reiterated their commitment to launching nationwide movements to strengthen the country’s economic base and ensure a stable future for all.
