Agartala, Nov 22: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) at Tripura University, in collaboration with Mondra Welfare Society, organized a socially impactful play titled "Break the Silence" on Friday. 

The mixed-genre, non-digital performance which was held at the Academic Building XI of the University captivated the audience with its bold take on pressing social issues.

Performed by the students of Journalism and Mass Communication, the play addressed critical concerns such as unemployment, the dowry system, youth depression, gender equality and the overburden of study that many students face. 

Through their compelling performances, the students highlighted the urgent need for society to engage with these issues and bring about positive change.

The event drew appreciation from attendees for its thought-provoking narrative and creative execution, reinforcing the department’s commitment to blending academic pursuits with social responsibility.
