Agartala Jan 08: As a part of Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha’s birthday, employees of State Health Department organized a Blood Donation Camp on Wednesday at the Agartala Government Nursing College Auditorium, IGM Hospital in the state capital.

The camp aimed to promote the importance of blood donation and encourage more people to contribute to this noble cause in line with the chief minister’s call.

Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder along with other dignitaries took part at the event.

In his address, the Mayor lauded the efforts of health workers and emphasized the crucial role of blood donation in saving lives.

“It is because of our chief minister’s efforts that blood banks of our state now have sufficient stock of blood. Because of his call blood donation has turned into a festivity in our state. By commemorating our chief minister Dr Manik Saha’s birthday in such a meaningful manner, the event not only honoured Dr. Manik Saha but will create awareness about the life-saving impact of blood donation”, he said.

The blood donation camp witnessed a commendable turnout, with many donors stepping forward to contribute.
