Agartala, Feb 06: After the opposition CPI(M), the Congress party in Tripura opposed the Union budget as presented by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman recently in the parliament.

Walking on a protest rally here at Agartala on Thursday, the Youth Congress President Neelkamal Saha opined that the budget is made to deprive the youths of the country at large, as there no specific plan was made in the budget for generating employment opportunities for the unemployed youths of the country.

He further opined that the budget presented recently by the union finance minister has deliberately ignored youths and also removed budgetary allocations for SC, ST and minorities.

“We strongly oppose this budget which deliberately ignored the employment opportunities for the youths, who are presently being pushed toward drug abuse,” he told reporters.
