Agartala, Dec 28: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday said development activities are going on across Tripura in full swing.
After inaugurating a Krishak Bandhu Kendra, a Farmers' Knowledge Centre and a 1000-MT Rice Godown at Mandwi in West Tripura district, the Chief Minister said the new facilities would largely benefit the farmers of this region.
Addressing the inaugural programme at Gourmani stadium in Mandwi, Dr. Saha said the state government is maintaining transparency at the highest level in every field. In this context, he cited several examples including JRBT results.
He also highlighted the other major achievements of the present state government. He said, recruitment process for more than 6000 Special Executives is underway, the social pension has been increased to Rs. 2000 along with introduction of 30,000 new social allowances under Mukhyamantri Sahayak Prakalpa. He also mentioned about the 12 percent DA/ DR announced by the state government for the regular employees and pensioners on Tuesday as well as 50 percent hike in the remuneration of the DRWs, MRWs, PTWs and Contingent workers.
The Chief Minister said that the present state government has been sincerely working for the welfare of all sections. As a result, the benefits of various government works are now reaching out to the last man of the society.
He also spoke about the "Prati Ghore Sushashon" campaign that saw huge success.
He said that NH-08 from Churaibari to Agartala would be transformed into a four-lane highway as it is the lifeline and it has been sanctioned by the Minister of Road Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari.
He also said, various attempts are being made by the opposition parties to unsettle the state government. The opposition parties have jointly given a statement that they are together now but the public would give them a befitting reply, he said.
During the Left regime, there was only terror activities like murder, firing and ruckus but the state government. But, the present state government is focusing only on developing.
Agriculture minister Pranajit Singha Roy and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
