Agartala Aug 12: Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on Friday at Astabal ground, in North Gate area of capital city.

Garlanding the statue of Swami Vivekananda, Biplab Kumar Deb urged upon the people of the state to make the “Har-Ghar-Tiranga” campaign a success in the state.

Talking to the reporters, former CM Biplab Kumar Deb said, “Complying with the call of PM Narendra Modi all the statues of freedom fighters and great personalities are cleaned and garlanded as a symbol of paying tribute and respect”.

Deb also urged upon the youths of the state to follow the ideologies of Swami Vivekananda to achieve success in their lives.

The event on Friday morning was organized under the initiative of 9 no. Banamalipur assembly constituency as a part of Azadi-ka-Amrit-Mahotsav celebrations.
