Agartala, April 15: Renowned and retired teacher and also the founder of Ramakrishna Seva Ashram at Ranirkhamar Paresh Chandra Chakraborty passed away at 88 on Monday morning after he succumbed to a burn injury on his body.

The incident took place on Sunday mid-night last after his body caught fire from a lighted wax candle, while he was reading books in his Ashram and suddenly fell asleep.  

He was immediately rushed to the trauma centre of Agartala GBP Hospital on Sunday night, and later he succumbed to the burn injury on his body on Monday morning.

His body was taken to the Agartala College Tilla Ishwari Pathsala and Vivekananda School, where the well wishers and students paid their last respect to late Paresh Chandra Chakraborty. BJP leader Jahar Saha and others were present to pay their last respect.
