MLA and Purbasha Chairman Kishore Barman, inaugurated the programme in presence of other dignitaries.
Interacting with the media, Barman highlighted the state government’s initiatives to rejuvenate the Purbasha ground, which had become a hub for anti-social activities under the previous regime.
“The present government has not only revived the Purbasha ground but also prioritized expanding its reach,” he said.
Barman stated that the plans to renovate its Delhi center and opening new stores in Mumbai and other prominent locations across the country are in the pipeline.
Besides, the government has secured approval to open a Purbasha store at Agartala MBB Airport, he added.
Moreover, in order to promote local artisan-made products, the state is considering setting up stores at popular tourist spots within and outside Tripura.
The government is exploring the idea of launching online stores to showcase and market local artisan products globally, aiming to enhance visibility and boost sales on an international platform, Barman said.
