Agartala, Feb 05: The leader of opposition and the CPI(M) MLA Jitendra Chaudhury on Wednesday visited the construction sites of community hall for the Mog community and market shed along the India Bangladesh border in Sabroom.

The MLA of Sabroom assembly constituency Jitendra Chaudhury said that his visit is mainly aimed to check the execution of sanctioned MLA funds for developmental work. He said that in response to the demand of the Mog community in Gang Fira area of Sabroom, he has sanctioned a community hall for them.

Likewise, another market shed was also sanctioned at Sabroom market, he said, adding that he had talked to the authorities of Nagar Panchayat to sanction more funds for the construction of the market shed. He said that the construction works will begin soon.

The MLA also said that he will visit the ongoing construction of Ekalavya school in Sabroom. He expressed his concern over the location of the school and suggested that the school could have been constructed covering a broader area.
