Sabroom, Feb 6: Sabroom MLA and Leader of the Opposition, Jitendra Choudhury, inspected various development projects in Srinagar and Poangbari for the second consecutive day.
He reviewed the utilization of the MLA development fund and assessed the progress of ongoing projects.
Choudhury stated that funds have been allocated for the construction of bekar stalls, community halls and other infrastructure, with work orders already issued.
He also examined whether financial aid had been properly distributed to farmers affected by last year’s floods.
Key projects include bekar stalls in Moni Kumar Para and Kaptali Meru Para, each costing Rs 9.19 lakh, a rest house at Srinagar Hospital for Rs 12 lakh and a market shed at Poangbari Bazaar for Rs 12.19 lakh.
During the visit, RD department’s Executive Engineer Sanjit Rian provided technical details, while local residents shared their concerns, receiving assurances from the MLA. Choudhury emphasized that ensuring proper implementation of government projects for public benefit remains his priority.
