Agartala, Nov 17: The NERIST alumni meet of Agartala chapter on Sunday distributed food items and daily essentials among the older persons staying at Agartala ‘Sandhya Neer’ old age home

The food items include – 130 kg of rice, 5 kg lentils, 10 kg of flour, 2 kg powdered milk, 5 kg of sugar, 2 kg of tea, 5 kg of soybeans, 10 liters of mustard oil, 1 kg of ghee, eggs, biscuits, snacks item, etc. More essential items like 10 kg detergent powder, Phenyl, mosquito coil, and bleaching powder etc.

The decision of distributing food items came up during the meeting of the NERIST alumni meet held at Ayush Gram on November 9 last.

Among the alumni present in the event were Tripura Gramin Bank official Deepjoy Sarkar, Saptarshi Pal, Rajat Kanti Saha of State Bank, AYUSH Gram proprietor Bishwanath Das, Jiku Das, Tanmoy Das, John Debbarma, Biswajit Bhowmik, Prasenjit Saha and others.
