Agartala, Mar 09: The new government would work sincerely for the overall development of all sections of people, said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.
The second BJP-IPFT government would work with the aim of achieving further development of tribal people and resolving their problems, Dr. Saha in a press conference at his official residence.
He also said, more importance would be given for the development of health, education, agriculture and sports sectors along with law and order.
The Chief Minister held the press conference followed by the meeting of the newly-formed council of ministers. Apart from the Chief Minister, all other ministers- Ratanlal Nath, Pranajit Singha Roy, Santana Chakma, Sushanta Chowdhury, Tinku Roy, Sudhangshu Das, Bikas Debbarma and Shukla Charan Noatia were present in the cabinet meeting.
Soon after the press conference, the Chief Minister left the state; he is expected to meet President of India Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on Friday.
Speaking to the media, he said, the state government would strictly deal with any attempt of violence.
“The state government is determined to maintain law and order in the state,” he said.
The prime responsibility of the government is to deliver the fruits of development till the last person of the society paying respect to their faith in the government. He said the government would continue to work for the people under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister conveyed his gratitude to the people of the state for establishing the BJP-IPFT government for the second term. The Chief Minister also expressed his gratitude to the officers of different levels in police administration, workers and concerned everyone for completing the election process peacefully.
He also said that MLA Binoy Shushan Das was appointed as the Protem Speaker and the decision was taken in the cabinet meeting. Discussions were also held on placing vote-on-account in the upcoming legislative assembly.
