Kailasahar, Nov 30: Minister Bikash Debbarma on Saturday chaired a review meeting of his statistics department here in the conference hall of Kailasahar Circuit House and said that the office of statistics department will be opened soon in rest of the four districts of the state.
During the review meeting, the minister said that work of house-to-house survey will also start in Unakoti district and North Tripura district next year.
On the other hand, the minister on Saturday expressed his anger over the distribution of patta land to the indigenous tribes and tea garden workers in Kailasahar. He asked the officials to expedite the process and ensure 100% distribution of patta land.
Special Secretary of the department Abhishek Chanda, Director of the department Debananda Reang, District Magistrate of Unakoti district Dilip Kumar Chakma, Additional District Magistrate of North Tripura district, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Kailashahar and Kumarghat and other officials were present in the review meeting.
After the review meeting, the Minister along with other officials visited the office of the Department of Statistics in Kailashahar. Looking at the dilapidated condition of the office, the minister and the secretary of the department said that a new office will be built in the office building of Kailashahar soon.
