Kailashahar, Feb 1: Local people under Irani police station in Kailashahar Sub-Division blocked the road by burning tires to protest the poor condition of the road connecting Baburbazar to Irani Bazar.

According to the locals, the road was left in a poor state for a long time and no repairs have been initiated despite repeated requests to the authorities.

The blockade disrupted traffic and caused significant inconvenience to daily commuters. After a three-hour protest, an engineer from the concerned department assured the locals that repairs would begin within three days, following which the agitating locals lifted the blockade.

 However, protesters warned that they would resort to larger protests if the repairs were not started promptly.
