Udaipur, Nov 25: A retired police officer identified as Shyamal Saha, lost his life in a road accident in Udaipur's Chanban Loknath Ashram Road area on Monday. The incident occurred when a collision between a lorry truck and a bicycle resulted in the victim being crushed under the vehicle's wheels.

Firefighters rushed to the spot and took the injured man to Gomati District Hospital. Despite their efforts, Saha succumbed to his injuries upon arrival. Adding to the tragedy, the lorry driver fled the scene immediately after the incident, evading capture.

Police stated that they are currently investigating the case, and efforts are underway to track down the driver responsible for the accident.
