Kailashahar, Nov 18: A review meeting to assess the progress of various development initiatives under the Fisheries, Animal Resources Development and Scheduled Caste Departments in Unakoti district was held at the Circuit House in Kailashahar on Monday. The meeting, chaired by Minister Sudhangshu Das, focused on ongoing projects and future strategies.

Minister Das assured that current projects would be completed soon, with plans to enhance fish, meat, egg and milk production in the district. Addressing recent flood damage, he promised additional support for affected families.

On the Satero Miyar Haor project, he revealed that 60 acres have been acquired and central funds have been received. The Central Fisheries Minister is expected to visit soon to lay the foundation stone.

The district officials, including Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati Amalendu Das, Fisheries Director Santosh Das and Unakoti District Magistrate Dilip Kumar Chakma attended the meeting.
