Agartala, Dec 12: Security measures have been tightened along the India-Bangladesh border following recent atrocities against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh after the collapse of the Sheikh Hasina government.

In Belonia, heightened vigilance was observed on Thursday with police and TSR personnel patrolling key areas such as Kalinagar, Giridhari Bridge, Sarasimha and Tripura Bazar.

Belonia SDPO Abhijit Das confirmed that regular patrols will continue to ensure peace and address public concerns about the prevailing situation.
