Agartala Feb 03: Demanding immediate publication of results and all-together recruitment into teaching jobs, STGT job aspirants on Saturday once again staged a demonstration in front of the chief minister’s residence in capital city.
Expressing frustration over the delay in the recruitment process, the aspirants said, “For a long time we have been seeking an appointment to meet the chief minister regarding our issue. But every time we are forced to return back empty handed”.
“Today too we wanted to meet the chief minister who also holds the education portfolio just to know about our recruitment process, but failed. At first, we were asked to wait for 10 minutes by his PA and later we were told that our matter is in the court and when the case will be resolved our results will be published”, said one of the job aspirants.
The candidate further added, “As per our knowledge, we do not have any such information of any court case regarding STGT jobs”.
Appealing the state chief minister and all the other cabinet ministers to take prompt steps in completing the recruitment process, the STGT job aspirants said, ““We are unaware of the reason why the publication of results and recruitment process is kept on hold. It has been almost 17 months that we took the examination. Also, the state chief minister and other cabinet ministers are silent over the issue”.
“Many of us are going to be over aged, we have burdens of family and loan on us. What will we do without jobs”? questioned the agitating youths.
The aspiring candidates urged the chief minister and the concerned department to publish the results and complete the recruitment process at the earliest.
