Tripura Deputy CM meets PM Modi, discusses state's development

Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday and discussed the state's development.
According to the Deputy Chief Minister, he presented a folder highlighting the bio village pilot project of Bio Tech Council to the Prime Minister during his meeting in the PM residence.
He also presented the TREDA works of lighting up remote village markets, solar irrigation pumps in remote areas and solar micro grids in remote tribal areas.
In a social media post, the Deputy Chief Minister wrote that the Prime Minister has appreciated the last mile delivery efforts made by the Tripura government.
The Deputy Chief Minister also spoke about infrastructure development and requested for central assistance. Rural Development issues were also discussed for expediting the development of rural areas especially the remote tribal areas which have been neglected during the Left rule.
He also sought empowerment of TTAADC and highlighted the cabinet decisions taken by BJP-IPFT government apart from discussing rural connectivity and finance issues.
The Deputy Chief Minister's meeting with the Prime Minister is assumed to be significant in the current political situation of Tripura.
