Tripura Governor concludes Khowai district tour, reviews developmental projects

Agartala/ Khowai, Feb 20: During his two-day visit to Khowai, Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu attended several review meetings of district affairs, including discussions with local officials and villagers.
The two-day visit concluded on Tuesday with an interaction programme held in Bonbazar ADC village under Tulasikhar block.
The Governor's inquiries regarding basic amenities such as drinking water, irrigation, and electricity uncovered discrepancies between official reports and ground realities.
However, officials struggled to provide accurate information on various government projects, including those related to pig farming and fishing.
Expressing frustration, Governor Nallu emphasized the urgency of aligning official statements with actual circumstances, particularly regarding the functionality of drinking water pipelines.
Concluding the visit, the Prime Minister assessed Awas Yojana beneficiaries' homes and engaged with farmers in Sarzamin to address agricultural challenges. The visit highlighted the need for improved coordination and transparency between officials and local communities.
