Dasda BPMU best performing unit of TRESP in North Tripura

The Block Project Management Unit (BPMU), Dasda, under the Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project (TRESP), has been adjudged the Best Performing BPMU in North Tripura during the District-Level Review Meeting and Annual Action Plan for the financial year 2026–27.

The review meeting was organised by the District Project Management Unit (DPMU), North Tripura, to assess the progress of TRESP activities and finalise the district's Annual Action Plan for the coming financial year.

The meeting was attended by the District Magistrate (DM), North Tripura Chandni Chandran, the Additional District Magistrate (ADM), the Block Development Officers (BDOs) of Dasda, Laljuri, Jampui Hill and Damcherra RD Blocks, the Deputy Director of the Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD), the Sub-Divisional Fishery Officer, TRESP officials, and other stakeholders.

Addressing the gathering, the District Magistrate stressed the importance of effective implementation, inter-departmental coordination, and community participation in ensuring sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural households under TRESP. 

The meeting reviewed the achievements of the project during the previous financial year and outlined key priorities for FY 2026–27.

A major highlight of the programme was the felicitation of outstanding performers for their dedication and contribution to the project's success. Dasda BPMU received the Best BPMU Award for its excellent performance in implementing TRESP activities and achieving project objectives across the block.

Individual awards were also presented to Bharati Nath of Laljuri RD Block as Best Pashu Sakhi, Rahabi Reang of Damcherra RD Block as Best Matsya Sakhi, and Anita Marak of Damcherra RD Block as Best Krishi Sakhi.

The recognition of Dasda BPMU reflects the collective efforts of its project team, community institutions, and field-level functionaries in strengthening rural livelihoods and promoting inclusive development in North Tripura. 

Officials expressed confidence that the award would encourage all BPMUs to further improve project implementation and achieve the goals set under the Annual Action Plan for FY 2026–27.
