Tripura CM says, CPM 'institution of falsehood',condemns LoP's remark on police

Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Thursday termed the CPM and its branches as 'institution of lies'.

Highlighting the state's steady progress, he also said that the "chariot of development" is moving forward in the state.

Speaking after offering prayers at the newly renovated Sri Sri Nrisingha Devata and Sri Sri Ram-Janaki Temple at the Old Motor Stand in Agartala, the Chief Minister said the state government is committed to preserving Tripura's rich cultural and religious heritage.

He said that temples and other heritage sites associated with the erstwhile royal era are being restored and renovated so that the younger generation can appreciate and connect with the state's glorious past.

Recalling his childhood memories, Dr. Saha said he had visited the temple many times as a child and described it as a major spiritual centre for the local community.

Responding to a question from journalists, the Chief Minister alleged that the CPM office at Melarmath and its affiliated organisations had become an "institution of falsehood." He also strongly condemned the 'idiot' remark made by Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Chaudhary against the police.

Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, and other dignitaries were present during the visit.

The Chief Minister offered prayers at the renovated temple for the peace, prosperity, and overall well-being of the people of Tripura.
