Man missing for three months, wife files police complaint

A 50-year-old man has gone missing for the past three months from Churaibari area. His wife filed a missing person’s complaint at the local police station.

The missing individual has been identified as Bimal Deb (50), a daily wage labourer and resident of Ward No. 6 under Churaibari Gram Panchayat. According to family members, he had left home around three months ago and has not returned since.

His wife told reporters that Deb had a history of going missing for short durations, often returning home after a week or ten days. However, this is the first instance where he has remained untraceable for such an extended period. She also stated that he was suffering from partial mental instability.

“Despite searching across various locations and contacting relatives, we have not been able to trace him,” she said, adding that a missing diary was lodged at the police station after initial efforts failed.

At the time of his disappearance, Deb was reportedly wearing a full-sleeve shirt and a dhoti, she said.
