The streets of Teliamura came alive on Thursday with a vibrant ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally, organised jointly by the Block and Sub-Divisional administration to spread the message of respect for the national flag and the spirit of patriotism.
Â
The rally began in front of the local Baramura Cafeteria and wound its way through the town’s main roads, with participants carrying the Tricolour and chanting slogans that echoed national pride. Students from various schools, accompanied by their teachers, joined government officials, employees, and local residents in a spontaneous show of unity.
Â
The sight was striking, flags in countless hands, streets draped in saffron, white and green, and the air filled with enthusiasm. The presence of schoolchildren was especially noticeable, their energy lending a youthful vibrancy to the march. Teachers, officials, and ordinary citizens walked side by side, turning the programme into a collective celebration rather than a formal event.
Â
According to the administration, the initiative was aimed at reinforcing the significance of Independence Day, deepening respect for the national flag, and reminding citizens of their responsibilities toward the nation.Â
Â
Through the rally, organisers urged every household to hoist the Tricolour, carrying forward the emotional resonance of Independence Day into people’s homes.
