Around 4,700 students will appear in the NEET (UG) re-examination to be conducted all over Tripura on June 21 next. The exams will be conducted in 10 centers across the state in the presence of heavy security and proper arrangements, top officials said.Â
The highest number of centers had been established in West Tripura district while only one centre has been established in Dhalai district’s Kamalpur, said senior officials.Â
Briefing the media persons on the administrative preparedness to conduct the exams without any hassle, District Magistrate West Tripura Dr Vishal Kumar said, “In as many as nine centers exams will be conducted in the West Tripura district. To make sure that exams are conducted without any hassle, multi-layer security arrangements have been put in place. Apart from that CRPF and TSR personnel have also been engaged for security purposes.”Â
According to the District Magistrate, special helpline numbers had also been issued in order to address problems faced by the candidates. “In the nine centers of West Tripura, around 4,500 students will appear in the exams. The exams will be conducted between 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm and the gates will be opened for entry of the students from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.Â
