CM, BJP chief to inaugurate training session for Mandal workers

The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced a series of training sessions for the party workers from Mandal (assembly segment) level slated to be completed by May 27 next.

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and BJP Tripura Pradesh President and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee shall inaugurate the Mandal training programme of 8 Bardowali Mandal on Thursday. 

Briefing the media persons at the party state headquarters, BJP Tripura state spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty said, “With the motto of Saksham Karyakarta, Sashakta Sangathan, we are organising our Mandal level training sessions. The first session will be organised at 8 Bardowali Mandal at the first phase on Thursday which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and BJP Tripura Pradesh President Rajib Bhattacharjee.” 

According to Bhattacharjee, the similar sessions shall be conducted in the remaining 59 Mandals between May 17 to May 27. “These sessions will continue for one and a half days. The party workers who will attend the sessions have to spend a night in the place of training. Use of mobile phones and plastic had been prohibited during the training sessions. In the course of the training, the participants would be imparted knowledge on a range of issues which includes–the development works of the centre, the state government’s welfare initiatives and the development works carried out at the local level,” said Chakraborty. 

The party has set a target of 140 to 150 participants per assembly segment for the training.

 “The average target is 140 to 150 party workers for every mandal. In some assembly segments the number may exceed the target while in others the number of participants may reduce,” he added. 

BJP General Secretary Bhagaban Das, Media in-charge Sunit Sarkar, Party’s IT cell convenor Chandan Debnath and spokesperson Ashmita Banik were also present at the press briefing.
