In a social media post, Dr. Saha mentioned that under the dynamic and decisive leadership of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam is witnessing unprecedented development, peace and progress. The people of Assam have reposed their faith in Dr. Sarma for a Viksit Assam.

"The Double Engine Government with visionary leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji at the Centre and a strong, committed government in the state. Together, we will accelerate Assam’s journey towards peace, prosperity, and all-round development. Proud of BJP 3.0 delivering on the aspirations of the people," Dr Saha wrote.

In the sideline, the Tripura Chief Minister congratulated Union Home Minister Amit Saha, who joined the oath ceremony, for massive victory of BJP in West Bengal and Assam.

Before the swearing-in ceremony, Dr. Saha met BJP national general secretary (org) B.L. Santosh and discussed various organizational matters. Dr. Saha commented 'the meeting was fruitful'.

Meanwhile, the oath ceremony in Assam was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP National President Notin Nabin and Chief Ministers of various NDA ruled states were present.

Governor of Assam Lakshman Prasad Acharya administered the oath of office to Himanta Biswa Sarma and other members.

Soon after taking oath as the Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, this would not have been possible without the margdarshan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi whose guidance throughout has been the biggest motivating factor for Assam Government.

"It is his leadership and vision which has guided us in our path of Sewa and Samarpan. I would also like to place on record my deep gratitude for Rashtriya Adhyaksh Shri Nitin Nabin ji, whose leadership galvanised all NDA karyakartas in Assam to take the message of our good governance to every household," he noted.

He further mentioned, "Today's occasion would not have been possible without the mentorship of Adarniya Amit Shah ji who has stood with us like a rock in our path to bring back peace and prosperity to the State and work towards delivering our promises to the people. And last but not the least to each of our karyakartas across Assam, who toiled hard to achieve this historic victory."

Dr. Sarma assured, "We will keep working till we realise the dream of a Viksit Assam."
