In a major boost to Tripura’s skill development efforts, 50 rural youths trained under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) have successfully completed a three-month residential Electrician training program conducted through the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY).
Â
All 50 candidates have received placement offers from Motherson Sumi Systems Limited, a leading multinational automotive component manufacturer based in Bengaluru. Each candidate will earn a monthly package of Rs 21,680, along with food and accommodation benefits, ensuring financial stability as they begin their professional careers.
Â
The achievement marks a significant milestone for TRLM, which has been working to empower rural youth by linking training programs with assured employment opportunities. Officials said the initiative reflects the mission’s commitment to transforming rural communities by equipping young people with industry-ready skills.
Â
The newly trained electricians are set to move to Bengaluru, embarking on a journey of economic independence and career growth. TRLM extended congratulations to the candidates, describing them as role models for other rural youths aspiring to build sustainable livelihoods.
Â
This success story underscores the growing impact of DDU-GKY in Tripura, where structured training and placement opportunities are opening doors for rural youth to enter mainstream industries and contribute to the state’s development.
