
The Border Security Force (BSF) celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day with a special programme on the historic Indo-Bangla Maitri Bridge at Sabroom on Sunday.

The event was organized by âFâ Company of the 114 Battalion BSF, where jawans enthusiastically performed various yoga postures and pranayama exercises against the backdrop of the international border.

Speaking to the media after the programme, Deputy Commandant R.L. Meena highlighted the importance of yoga in maintaining both physical and mental well-being. He noted that regular practice plays a vital role in keeping jawans fit and resilient while carrying out demanding duties along the border.

Meena also underlined the symbolic significance of hosting the event on the Maitri Bridge, describing it as a âbridge of friendshipâ between India and Bangladesh. He said the programme carried a dual message â promoting healthy living and strengthening international harmony.

The celebration on the bridge added a special dimension to the global observance of Yoga Day, reflecting BSFâs commitment to discipline, wellness, and peace.
