PMVBRY launched in Tripura, appointment letters distributed

A special programme was organised at the Town Hall here on Friday to mark the launch of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY).
Inaugurating the event, Tribal Welfare minister Bikash Debbarma said the scheme aims to expand employment opportunities for young people across the country.
The event was organised by the Agartala Regional Office of the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) under the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment.
Addressing the gathering, Tribal Welfare and Statistics Minister Bikash Debbarma said the scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is intended to address concerns related to unemployment among the youth.
He said the programme envisages employment opportunities for around 15 lakh people and is expected to benefit Tripura as well.
During the event, offer and appointment letters were distributed to 10 newly recruited individuals.
Debbarma said the scheme forms part of the Centre's broader development agenda and is aligned with the vision for India in 2047.
Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee also attended the programme as a guest of honour.
Officials said the event highlighted various features of the PMVBRY, including its role in promoting employment generation and the benefits available to employees and employers under the scheme.
Representatives of different establishments, EPFO officials and other invitees were present at the programme.
The PMVBRY has been introduced by the Centre as an employment-linked initiative aimed at supporting job creation and expanding formal workforce participation.
