
A high-level preparatory meeting to review arrangements for the smooth, secure, and fair conduct of the upcoming NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination in the state as held on Wednesday.
The NEET (UG) re-examination will be held across the country on June 21 (Sunday).
The meeting, convened by the Higher Education Department, was chaired by Chief Secretary and virtually attended by the Special Secretary of the department, members of the State Level Coordination Committee (SLCC), District Level Coordination Committees (DLCCs), Tripura Police, National Informatics Centre (NIC), District Magistrates, and other concerned stakeholders.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various aspects of examination management, including security protocols, transportation and safeguarding of confidential examination materials, deployment of personnel, logistical arrangements, and inter-departmental coordination.
The Chief Secretary stressed the importance of strict adherence to the guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to ensure the integrity, transparency, and credibility of the examination process.Â
Officials were directed to maintain seamless coordination among all departments and agencies involved in conducting the examination.
Special emphasis was placed on ensuring the safe custody and timely movement of confidential examination materials, strengthening security measures at examination centres, and providing a hassle-free environment for candidates.
West Tripura District Magistrate Dr Vishal Kumar attended the meeting and reaffirmed the administration's commitment to extending all necessary support for the successful conduct of the examination.Â
Officials stated that coordinated efforts are being undertaken to ensure that the re-examination is conducted in a transparent, secure, and efficient manner.
The West Tripura district administration also reiterated its dedication to upholding the highest standards of fairness, accountability, and good governance in the conduct of public examinations across the state.
